Price varies depending on options but full blown option is cdn$1200. This is a 2xEL34 classic M style amp with a footswitchable adjustable boost. The pre section of this amp is based on my Pasadena (FRIEDMAN). Has a loop - one that I have been using for years, based on Naylor SD60. I have been building amps for a long long time and rest assured this thing kicks.
The JT Special is an M50X with a custom name.

Consider me as a good chef and you are at my restaurant. You are asking for a steak - you aren't instructing how to cook it, you are trusting that the chef knows how to prepare a steak. Same situation here, but instead of steak you are looking for a custom M style amp. I have built more amps than probably anyone ever. I know what good tone is, and what makes an amp great.
Custom name, colour is encouraged.
Main signal path is point to point and components are in the best possible position.
Boost is adjustable.
Heater voltage tweaked for best sound. Amount of NFB tweaked by ear. Typically 3 week build time, shipping via fedex is usually within a week.
We have a Friedman Small Box and BE100 here and I have tweaked this M50X to be a better sounding amp.
Depth is set the same as the Friedman's - ie 220k/.0047uf

Jackal+ is the same platform but has: JTM tonestack, bright controls around BOTH the gain pot and master volume, FS boost, ±3db from my preferred level of FB, Mod control (essentially a minor gain control as it changes the 2dn stage cathode resistance. Can change the feel a little bit).
